Meeting career as Quant with Thársis Souza

Thársis Souza is a computer scientist with a passion for data products. He is Senior Vice President of Product Management and Modeling Engineering at Two Sigma Investments ($60 Billion AUM) with the goal of applying cutting-edge technology to the world of financial data.

Prior to Two Sigma, he spent over 10 years delivering new technology products at a variety of companies, from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 500 in the US, Brazil and UK. He is an author of academic publications and a regular speaker at academic and business conferences. He is also a mentor to students and professionals representing ethnic-racial minorities.

Thársis is a Ph.D. & M.Phil in Computer Science from UCL, University of London, M.Sc. in Computer Science from USP, B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Unicamp with Specialization from B3 and executive training from Columbia University in the City of New York
